- S1 / DRIVE LOG
Pulse drive log with trip distance, a map, and energy for the selected drive

Kept on the device.

Distance, energy, and state of charge for each trip, stored on the device. With Cloud Connect on, you pull that log from Dynam Cloud.

- S2 / DIAGNOSTICS
Pulse diagnostics with an active BMS fault, the fault log, and a bar for every cell voltage

The weak cell, next to the fault.

Active faults, with severity and whether the car can still be driven, plus a journal of what set and cleared. Beside that, a bar for every cell: voltage or internal resistance, min and max called out.

- S3 / TRIP
Pulse trip replay with speed, gear, and power charts scrubbed to the same moment

Scrub the whole drive.

Logged once a second for the whole trip. Drag through it and speed, gear, power, battery, elevation, and temperature stay on the same moment. Longer trips are averaged on the chart. More data adds pedal, torque, RPM, pack voltage, and cell min and max.

Pulse fault snapshot with a map, speed, and gear from the seconds around the onset

The window around the fault.

An onset keeps 60 seconds before it set and 10 seconds after, one sample a second. Scrub the map and the same channels through that snapshot. It stays on the device. With Cloud Connect on, Pulse also sends you the snapshot.

Each trip stays on the device. Open it and scrub the log. With Cloud Connect on, you can pull that log.

- Where it runs

Bring your own screen.

Pulse runs on the phone, tablet, Android head unit, or embedded Linux screen you already own. It reaches the car through a CAN adapter: a Dynam VCU+, a legacy system it is retrofitted into, or another compatible module.

iOS · iPadOS

Connects to a MeatPi WiCAN over Bluetooth, or over Wi-Fi, where the phone joins the dongle network. There is no USB CAN path on iOS.

A MeatPi WiCAN USB over Bluetooth is the recommended daily path on iOS and Android. It needs our v5.0+ dongle firmware, and BLE only runs the RealDash 66 protocol. Wi-Fi TCP works too, though the phone then sits on the dongle network and usually has no internet. On Android you can also hardwire a CANable 2.0 or USB SLCAN adapter. Same USB path on embedded Linux. There is no USB CAN path on iOS. Setup steps are in the Pulse getting started guide.

Put Pulse on the screen you already own.

Plug a CAN adapter into the VCU+, and you have a live cluster, a drive log, and every cell in the pack. Beta access is invite-only for now.
